Injuries in handball
Ankle injuries, knee injuries, and shoulder injuries are among the most common in handball.
- Ankle overstep - is the most common injury, and every handball player can statistically expect to experience at least one during their career.
- Knee injuries - This includes meniscus, ligament injuries and injuries to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).
- Shoulder Injuries/Shoulder Problems
Three things that are important when it comes to handball injuries.
- Encourage players/guardians to have good damage insurance. So that you get good and fast help to get back on track again. Did you know that 50% of people with long-term injuries end up quitting sports altogether?
- Exercise Injury Prevention. 15 minutes, twice a week, reduces injuries by up to 50%.
- When the damage has occurred Treat it quickly and correctly.
